Cheese Cake Bars~
This is a really easy and yummy dessert I like to make!=)
Ingredients:
~1/3 cup butter, softened ~8 ounces cream cheese
~1/3 cup packed brown sugar ~1 tablespoon lemon juice
~1/3 cup chopped walnuts ~2 tablespoons milk
~ 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour ~ 1 egg
~1/4 cup white sugar ~ 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Derections:
(1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F(175 degrees C).
(2) To make Pastry: Cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the flour and chopped nuts and stir until mixture becomes crumbly. Set aside 1/4 cup to use as a topping.
(3)Press pastry mixture into 8-inch square pan and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool on rack.
(4)To make Filling: Beat together the white sugar, and cream cheese until smooth. Stir in the egg, milk, lemon juice, and vanilla and mix well. Spread filling mixture over baked crust. Sprinkle reserved mixture on as a topping.
(5)Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool on wire rack and refrigerate. And then serve=)

Lemon Bars

(2) 1/2 cup white sugar (5) 1-1/2 cups white sugar
(3) 2 cups all-purpose flour (6) 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
(7) 2 Lemons juiced
Derections:
(1)Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
(2)In a medium bowl, blend together softened butter, 2 cups flour and 1/2 cup sugar. Press into the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 inch pan.
(3)Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until firm and golden. In another bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1/4 cup flour. Whisk in the eggs and lemon juice. Pour over the baked crust.
(4)Bake for an additional 20 minutes in the preheated oven. The bars will firm up as they cool. After the pan has cooled, cut into 2 inch squares. And serve!=)
